Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince is an action-adventure game released in 2009. Developed by EA Games and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment for the Nintendo DS, it follows Harry's sixth year at Hogwarts.

In Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince on the NDS, you navigate Harry through Hogwarts, attending classes, exploring familiar locations, and interacting with characters like Ron and Hermione. A significant part of the gameplay involves using the stylus on the touchscreen to draw specific runes to cast various spells, from Lumos to Protego. You'll also find yourself brewing complex potions in Snape’s class, requiring careful mixing of ingredients in a dedicated mini-game to succeed.

Dueling is another core mechanic, where you'll face off against classmates and potentially other adversaries. Success in these duels often depends on quickly and accurately performing spell gestures on the touchscreen. Beyond combat and classes, you'll undertake quests to uncover the secrets of the Half-Blood Prince's old Potions textbook, which contains annotations and spells that could prove vital. The game encourages exploration of Hogwarts, with hidden areas and collectibles to discover as you progress through the story.
