About Puyo Puyo!! 20th Anniversary

Puyo Puyo!! 20th Anniversary is a vibrant puzzle game that arrived on the Nintendo DS, celebrating two decades of the series' signature gameplay.

At its heart, the game challenges you to strategically drop colored blobs, known as Puyo, onto a two-dimensional board. Your goal is to arrange four or more Puyo of the same color adjacent to each other, causing them to vanish. When Puyo disappear, any Puyo above them fall into the gaps, potentially creating chain reactions. These chains are key to scoring big and sending 'nuisance' Puyo, which appear as gray, opaque blobs, to your opponent's side of the screen.

This particular version on the NDS compiles many elements from the Puyo Puyo history. You'll encounter a roster of characters, each with their own personality and sometimes unique abilities that can influence gameplay during a match. The game includes various single-player challenges and multiplayer options, allowing you to test your skills in different competitive scenarios against AI or other players.

The core mechanic of matching colors and building chains remains central, but the anniversary edition on the DS offers a wide array of modes and characters drawn from the series' past, providing many ways to engage with the familiar falling block puzzle action.
